교사 켄드라와 함께하는 북극권 시간 모험

In this 6 week Arctic themed Circle Time Class we will meet once a week and learn all about the arctic. We will learn about the different animals that live they're like the Polar bear, Arctic Birds, Arctic fox, Snowy owl, Narwal, and Harp seal. Because this is a  Circle time style class we will also have a Calendar and weather talk time during class. We will be investigating what the arctic weather is like (in real time) and dressing our friend Mr. Bear for the weather that day! After our circle time is done we will learn about the animal of the day and talk about things like what they eat, their features, habitats, and life cycle. Once we are done learning about the animal of the day we will have fun singing songs and playing games (this is where we will be working on those kindergarten readiness skills).

Here is an example of our class schedule:

Welcome: I take this time to get to know my learners
Class Rules: We talk about our class room expectations
Calendar Time: We talk about the days of the week and months of the year 
Weather Talk: We talk about the arctic weather for that day and dress our friend Mr. Bear
Intro to the Arctic Animal: We take this time to learn different facts about the arctic animal of the day 
Song: Singing songs that are about our animal while using our kindergarten readiness skills
Games: We will have fun playing different circle time games (what is missing/where is it/what comes next/etc.)

In each of my classes it is important that students feel encouraged and engaged in the lessons. There will be lots of opportunity for your learner to interact with the lesson. My circle time style classes create a fun and safe environment for students to learn new concepts and expand their understanding of the basics. There will be a mix of on and off screen learning for your students. 

*BONUS* After each class I will send home 2-3 worksheets/coloring pages for your leaner to continue all the circle time learning fun!
