수업 소개
This will be an interactive, discussion-based class sharing information about various animals via a slide show presentation, shared video experience, vocabulary terms, and articles that will be shared for students and the teacher to read together. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts, and ask and answer questions as appropriate. No required experience or knowledge is necessary, just a love and interest for animals and nature!

Students will learn about the different animals of the Galapagos as well as the history of the islands, on an introductory level. Students will leave class with an understanding of why the Galapagos are such a crucial case study for evolution, and why the islands and the creatures who live there have fascinated scientists for years.

Hello everyone! My name is Kate Gibson. I am a full-time kindergarten teacher currently working from home, and excited about all the new possibilities of online learning. I plan to teach a variety of classes, including but not limited to reading and math skills for elementary students, animal science, beginner language skills, singing and musical theater concepts, history, current events discussions, and more. I received my bachelor's degrees at UC Berkeley in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies.
