This is a class all about ants! Did you know that for every 1 human, there are 1,000,000 ants roaming the earth!? Incredible! Students will learn about the different types of ants, and their roles in ant families! We will share our thoughts, opinions, and knowledge of ants with one another. We will uncover the concepts of habitat, anatomy, population, social structure, diet, and lifespan. Class is 25 minutes long. Age group is flexible - I can accommodate older and younger students....
Students will learn about ants while improving their communication and English skills. They will interact with others.
I was a librarian for over a decade before moving to the world of online teaching. I have worked with students of all ages (2-80) on their reading, organization, and grammar skills. I have been teaching English, History, Social Games and Social Science online for the last six years. Previous to Outschool, I taught ESL to students in China using the online platforms VIPKid and Magic Ears. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language. I am comfortable with all ages and both 1 on 1 or larger groups of children.
