수업 소개
In this one-time holiday edition of the Animal Crossing Treasure Hunt class, we will celebrate Toy Day (Christmas) together using the in game "Toy Day" celebration. Our treasure hunt for this class will involve searching Happy Island for items used in Toy Day crafts, interacting with Jingle the Reindeer, a challenge to craft as many holiday items as you can, and an opportunity to trade holiday items with classmates who may have different DIY recipes. A detailed list of items used for holiday crafts will be available in the classroom. A Nintendo Switch, a copy of Animal Crossings New Horizons, and a Nintendo Switch Online Account are all needed to play. Animal Crossing is a child-friendly video game free of violence and romantic storylines, but each family should preview any new games to be sure they align with family values. This holiday edition does focus on Toy Day, which is based on the real world celebration of Christmas. The focus is on gift giving and there are no references to religious celebrations. I'm Tori King. I am offering classes in reading, math, social studies, science, and a video game club.
I taught elementary school for 12 years, mostly as a second and third grade teacher, but I worked with students from preschool through 8th grade in the school library and as a summer school teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from DePaul University (2002). My initial teaching certification included all elementary school subjects and an endorsement in middle school social studies. I have a Master of Arts in Reading Instruction from Governor's State University (2013), which qualifies me to work as a literacy coach or reading specialist. I started homeschooling my children last year.
I think we learn best when we doing something we enjoy, so I try to offer a variety of opportunities to learn each skill.
Reading has been my favorite past time since I first learned. My reading goals are to read everything published by my 2 favorite authors, Jane Austen and Stephen King. I also enjoy playing video games and taking nature hikes with my family. 리뷰
