*Students will need to have access to Nintendo online and a stable internet connection to participate. 

The overarching lesson that will be taught through the course is building connections and a community. In this course students will have the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, and material and become part of a community with other students that share similar interests. The goal is for students to build connections with other students to lead to a better Animal Crossing experience as well as a progress in the game Animal Crossing New Horizons. 

The first class will begin with an introduction of all students and enforce the idea that this class is a safe space for all students to feel safe and to share thoughts and ideas with fellow classmates. This is important for the functionality of this class because we are striving for making connections with others. 

The next part of the class, student will continue to explore other player islands with particular goals in mind. For example, students will get to visit an island with the goal of helping another student with the specific task of watering flowers to increase flower breeding possibility or just to play hide and seek. Every class will have different focus points, all of which ultimately leads to improved: islands, friendships, communications skills, and Animal Crossing experience. 

By the end of this course, students will have access to new and unique items and DIY's and they will they will meet new friends . In this community, learners can learn how to help each other out, communicate ideas,  and play!

** Each student gets plenty of chances to showcase his/her island.
