Students will learn how to add and subtract single digit and double digit numbers. Students will learn addition and subtraction concepts by playing different math games and reviewing the teacher's PowerPoint. Students will also understand addition is the "putting together" of two groups of objects and finding how many in all. Students will also understand subtraction tells "how many are left" or "how many more or less." Students will understand the following skills before trying to master the addition facts: -Understand the concept of addition. -Have a beginning understanding of place-value (for example, knowing that 15 is the same as 10 + 5). Schedule: Day 1: -Single and double digit addition. Day 2: -Review addition word problems and concepts. Day 3: -Single and double digit subtraction. -Subtraction word problems and concepts.

I am looking forward to working with your learners here on Outschool. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, and my Educational Specialist Degree is in Special Education. I am also a certified Reading Specialist for Preschool- 12th grade students. I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool!
