Mr. Haywood is currently a licensed teacher in the field of robotics and engineering at the highschool level. He has taught math to elementary students in a private school, a charter school as well as a number of tutoring programs for more than 15 years.
Learners will need to have access to any household items that can be used as manipulatives for counting, adding, subtracting building, sorting, ordering, etc.

On occasion our lesson may involve eating small snacks to subract and divide as well as some physical movement such as jumping up and down. Depending on the needs of the individual learner, parents may need to supervise or be available to help gather necessary items. IXL and Kahoot will only be used via screen share by the teacher. No personal passwords will be necessary.
