Quokkas hail from Australia and their wonderful smiles have led them to be known as "one of the most cheerful animals in the world". They look like a smaller, happier version of a kangaroo, and often are seen with little babies sticking out of their pouches. In this class we will go over 25 facts about this jubilant animal and then the teacher will demonstrate to students how to draw their very own quokkas. Students will draw along with the teacher and come up with a story line for their...
The teacher will use slides to show pictures of quokkas in their natural habitat and to illustrate fun facts. As a group we will discuss what we learned while creating our very own quokka picture and story background. Students can choose to write or verbally tell us about their quokka and its' zany adventure.
I am a homeschooling mom and an educator for over 20 years. I currently teach Government, Speech and Debate, Advanced Placement Classes, History Classes and Early Emergent Readers Classes on Outschool.
