수업 소개
In this part two course of aircraft navigation, we will learn how pilots calculate for wind drift (when the wind blows the airplane away from its desired direction of flight). This class is the second part of our beginner airplane navigation class, and therefore it is highly recommended that the student takes the Introduction to Airplane Navigation class. In this one time class we will learn and complete: • What is wind drift, and why is it important to calculate it? • How we calculate for wind drift using an E6B calculator, and how it is used in an airplane? • A simulated flight from one airport to another airport calculating for wind drift.

Students will be able to understand what wind drift is, and why it is important to know. Students will be able to calculate wind drift using an E6B calculator by solving a wind drift math problem. Finally, students will be able to use what they have learned about wind drift, by applying it to a simulated flight from one airport to another airport.그 외 세부 사항
수업 자료
A pencil and paper is recommended for class activities. We will be accessing the aviation charts through Skyvector.com. Sky Vector allows you to view current and real world aviation charts from your web browser for free. Upon enrollment, the navigation log that will be used in class will be available for download, and if possible, we would recommend printing it out. We will use Youtube to view our simulated flight from one airport to another.
