This introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning allows learners to start exploring the foundations of these exciting fields. There is no previous coding or computer science knowledge needed for this class! Students will learn about AI, including its definition, history, and common applications in our world today. We will then learn about Machine Learning and the basics of this exciting part of Artificial Intelligence. Then students will work on their own AI and Machine...

Over 5,000 students from nearly 100 countries across a variety of platforms have started coding in one of my classes. I offer classes covering the foundations of Python, JavaScript, AI, and HTML/ CSS. I am the author of the soon-to-be released book All About Python for Kids. Before teaching, I worked as a developer for nearly 10 years. I've worked for organizations including Apple, Dell, and Best Buy. I believe the best way to learn is by doing and all my classes are based around hands-on projects that progressively build in difficulty. I'm a graduate of Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. I can't wait to meet your learner in the class and get started soon.
Students should have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a full keyboard. All applications used for this class are web based and will work with any modern browser such as Edge, Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Students will also need an active Google Account to log in for Teachable Machines.

Sometimes these outputs may be inappropriate, offensive, or biased in a variety of ways. This is possible while learners are using these technologies during class and also outside of class. **** Curriculum Students will use Google's Teachable Machine to train their own image classification model. Learners will need an active Google account to log in for Teachable Machines. There is no previous coding or computer science knowledge needed for this class!
