In this class, learners will experience a small taste of a D&D game where they have to work together to aid in a quest for the town's main weaponry and equipment shop. This experience will have learners use their character's abilities and skills to the best of their ability in order to fight certain creatures, obtain peculiar and rare items, and make decisions on how to best proceed with the quest. Students will develop and improve their critical thinking, problem-solving, and improvisational skills through playing a game of D&D. Students will learn to collaborate with others in order to complete tasks/win the quest. Students will be able to develop their planning and acting skills as well through thinking and behaving as their characters would behave.
-A level 1 D&D character -Pen/pencil -Paper/notebook For those that prefer digital resources: a word document to track notes for the game and their character would be helpful in the one-shot.
