At the roots of great stories, what dragons, what treasures await? It's not a bad question to ask, once you start noticing some of the patterns that so many great stories have in common. From Tolkien's Hobbit to Peter Jackson's films, from Super Mario to Undertale and Minecraft, developments in the tales and games we continue to admire share some striking resemblances.
