Having a solid understanding of the relationships between fractions, decimals, and percentages is an important fundamental before entering pre-algebra and often a weak point for students in middle school math. This class will focus on "fine-tuning" student understanding of these relationshops in preparation for pre-algebra and algebra. This class assumes an understanding of fraction, decimal, and percentage basics. Day 1: Simple Conversions between Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages (Fractions over 100) Day 2: Writing Fractions as Decimal Numbers and Decimal Numbers as Fractions Day 3: Converting between Mixed Numbers/Improper Fractions and Decimals Day 4: Comparing Fractions by Converting to Decimal Form Day 5: Comparing & Ordering Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages in Mixed Forms

I'm an accountant with a teaching background who enjoys learning and strives to foster a love of learning in students through games and interactive learning. I believe students learn best when they are having fun and interacting with the material.
I have always had a passion for learning and have diverse interests. I'm especially passionate about building strong foundations in language and math. I believe confidence in these two areas will give students the tools to learn almost anything they'd like to in life.
As an accountant, I have expertise in mathematics and finance. I'm an Enrolled Agent and believe everyone should be proficient in budgeting and personal finance. I believe a strong foundation in math is important to develop advanced skills with numbers later in life. Likewise, strong grammar and language skills will help students communicate effectively and give them the tools to learn anything they'd like to. I'm also passionate about culture and language and have formally studied nine languages, including studying abroad. I want to share the world with students through language and exploration.
I hope to share my love of learning with each of my students as they explore their personal interests. In doing so, students will become lifelong learners and continue to grow in and out of the classroom.리뷰
