In this one time class, students will review numbers 0-10, practice counting, and complete simple addition facts using M&M candies. We will review the plus symbol, equal symbol and practice reading addition sentences. As the teacher, I will guide the students through counting and addition problems. Here is a breakdown of what to expect in this class: -Greeting and Introduction -View PowerPoint to review counting 0-10 -Practicing counting 0-10 with your own M&M's -Complete addition problems using M&M's -Printable worksheet with 2 addition problems -Closing, Goodbye, and enjoy your M&M treat! We will have so much fun in this class using M&M's for math!

Your learner will need.... -pack of M&M's (any size will do) -Markers/crayons -Printable worksheet (uploaded file from teacher) Please note....If M&M's are not available, any small candy/food is perfect (skittles, cheerio's, raisins, etc).

Hello! My name is Jordan Lawson and I am so exited to teach your child! I graduated from UNCG with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been a teacher since 2007. I taught first grade for two years before teaching preschool. I taught preschool for ten years and then decided to homeschool my two boys. I have also been an ESL teacher online for three and a half years.
Being a teacher is a passion of mine! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love teaching and seeing children learn new things while having fun! I take pleasure seeing children happy and I strive to meet each child's needs.
