액션 스토리타임! "인어의 꼬리에 올라온 옛날 이야기"

This one-time class will be an engaging and active story time! We will be reading and acting out the story, "Once Upon a Mermaid's Tail" by Beatrice Blue. This is the same author/illustrator of "Once Upon a Unicorn Horn" and "Once Upon a Dragon's Fire" (which are other popular story time classes that I offer). I absolutely love how Beatrice Blue's stories transport the reader to a magical place and provide a positive message at the end of the story. "Once Upon a Mermaid's Tail" is about a little boy called Theodore who loves to collect fish and one day collects a tiny creature in a beautiful shell. He takes her home but soon realizes that she was getting weaker and weaker. Theodore receives a sign that this tiny creature belongs in the ocean. Theodore returns back to the ocean and with the help of some fish friends, the tiny creature gains precious scales and turns into a beautiful mermaid! The very important message that I will discuss with children in my class is that we must always take care of all animals and creatures, letting them live safely with their families- where they belong:) My teaching style is very active, animated and inclusive. I love getting children just as excited as I am to use their imagination and immerse themselves into a story. At the end of this story we will discuss what the story was about, likes/dislikes, the important message, and I will prompt specific questions about the main characters/plot.
