eady to get creative with friends? In this one-time 1 hour long class we will embrace our inner artist as we paint a beautiful sparkly night scene together with a moon, stars, flowers, and fireflies! This will be a fun, messy, and engaging class. No knowledge or experience required-just some paint, brushes, canvas, and a creative mind. This fun class will help students bring out their inner artist while learning basic techniques in painting with acrylics.
I have been teaching in the art field since 2012 and have degrees in art, English and psychology. I am also a published children’s book illustrator. My passion is inspiring kids to set their creativity free and grow through the experience.
-Canvas or canvas paper (12x16 size is a recommendation and can really be done on various sizes but steps may have to be adapted for different sizes) -Acrylic Paints in various colors: white, black, yellow, orange, green, blue, red, pink, purple (other colors can be used if student wants to be creative) -Paper Towels -Paper Plate (at least 2) -Pencil with eraser -Water cup -Brushes in various sizes (a large #10 Flat, a medium #12 Round, a small #4 liner) ***These brushes are only a recommendation and we can make different ones work if needed but it is important to have at least one larger brush for large areas and one smaller brush for details. -Painting easel can be useful but not at all necessary -may want to put cardboard or garbage bag down on painting surface to protect from paint
There is no parental guidance needed for this class other than help with supply set-up before we begin.
