In this ongoing class that meets 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), students are encouraged to bring something that begins with the letter of the day for show & tell. We will sing a hello song at the beginning and a goodbye song at the end of each class. They will listen to a story that corresponds with the letter of the day, sing a song, trace words, color, and then draw a picture of an animal or object using the letter of the day. A pdf file will need to be printed for each class and can be found in the classroom under the welcome comment the week of the class. We will focus on one letter per day. No prior knowledge of the letters is required. The students will listen to Hip Hop ABC or Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while they color the pictures on the worksheet or they may get up and dance during this song. During each class, your child will be encouraged to sing along, do the actions to the songs, and talk about the letters, words, and pictures. There are only 4 spots available per class because I like to interact with each student to help them build confidence and feel special. I hope to see your child in this class soon! 

A minimum of 2 students must sign up for this ongoing class in order for it to begin and continue. If there is only one student, the parents will have the option of enrolling their child in a private lesson of the same twice a week class for $50 per week.

1. We will greet each other and each child will have a chance to show & tell if they brought something to class that begins with the letter of the day. Then we will sing the hello song.
2. I will read a book.
3. We will sing a song.
4. We will trace the letter of the day and words that begin with that letter on the worksheet. We will learn the sounds of the letters and sound out many of the words phonetically when possible.
5. We will watch the video and listen to either Hip Hop ABC or Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while coloring the picture on the worksheet or dancing. 
6. We will draw a picture of an animal or object that begins with the letter for that day.
7. The students will each have a chance to show off their work at the end of class.
8. We will sing the goodbye song.
