This is an introductory piano class teaching (or reviewing) some basics about music and piano study using secular Christmas songs as the repertory to be learned. Beginning piano students will move to a steady beat, practice rhythmic and tonal music patterns, and learn a few level-appropriate songs with options provided to accommodate a variety of experience levels, from new through intermediate beginners at the piano. Learners should plan to practice 3-4 times a week for 5-10 minutes each time in order to really master the songs we're learning. I will provide short practice videos each week in the classroom to help young learners review and practice in between classes.수업 외 주당 0 - 1 시간

A piano or keyboard with (preferably) 60 keys, or 5 octaves. A weighted keyboard with pedals is preferred. A starter digital keyboard of at least one octave is the minimum requirement, although I encourage beginners to consider upgrading soon after beginning studies in such cases.

Students should have a little space to move to a steady beat-we will be doing light activities such as stepping, swaying, and clapping music patterns. Young beginners need help practicing, so helping them log in and practice the provided practice videos will set them up for success.
