This course covers Topics 5 and 6 of Big Ideas Math Course 2 curriculum. This is usually taught as an accelerated 6th grade or regular paced 7th grade curriculum. The class structure is each lesson is taught by lecture and discussion then practiced until students are confident with the material. At the end of each topic we review all of the lessons with Kahoot, then students complete a quiz on the Topic. Most of my lessons and student's practice pages are on their personalized Google Slides...

We will be use Kahoot as review tool. Kahoot can be used by students at no charge and does not require an account. When it is used in class students will be directed to Kahoot.it, where they will enter a game specific join code to play with only other students in the class. If you have any questions about Kahoot, please contact me through the classroom. I will also share a Google Slide presentation with each student on the first day of class. This will serve as a class textbook. They will need to have a Google account that is not blocked by a school district to use the slides. If you have any questions about Google Slides, please contact me through the classroom.
