We will have pre-tests and post-tests before and after each unit to see where students are at so lessons can be differentiated as needed. They will receive a progress report every other week and a report card every 9 weeks to show growth. The progress reports and report cards will have letter grades on them. Nearpod is an online student engagement platform that is a great resource that we will use in class to help students learn because it allows the teacher to give students questions like open-ended ones where you type the response, or the answers can be published in drawings where the students can actually draw on Nearpod to show their work in writing or drawings if they need to. This increases engagement among students tremendously and allows the teacher to see exactly what each student is doing at the same time.
