In my interactive but structured circle time, I will teach, Social Skills: * Waiting our turn * Raising our hand * Respecting ourselves, teacher and others Language Fluency: * Sing songs * Listen to rhymes * Vocabulary words related to the monthly theme * Weekly Sight Words * Group Reading Math Fluency: * Counting in rhymes * Polling our preferences and counting the results * Predict the next item in a pattern Visual Discrimination: * Discussions about small, medium and large items * "Which item is different?" games Science: * Explore the weather and the seasons Self-Awareness: * Explore feelings using rhymes and stories The Monthly Themes are: January: Snow and New Years February: Hearts and Presidents March: Rainbows and Spring April: Bugs and Flowers May: Mother's Day and Summer June: Beach Fun July: Oceans and Sea Life August: All About Me September: Apples and Farms October: Community Helpers and Careers November: Thanksgiving and Fall December: Gingerbread and Winter I will teach these subjects through stories, rhymes, songs, and science discussions. I have taught preschool in the classroom for 10 years. I have been a Girl Scout leader for 15 years. I have homeschooled my own children. And lastly, I have been a Sunday school teacher for K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades for 18 years.
