We will start with a few basics needed to understand what division is. Then we will tackle the 4 steps to long division, starting with easier problems in which the students can reach an answer just by looking at the problem. Each step gets a little more challenging with remainders in different places. We will also find a way to remember the order in which we do all four math functions. Finally, we come to the bonus problems with 2-place divisors, and we discuss the different ways to look at the problem to estimate an answer.
