During this class, students will be improving their fluency of 100 high-frequency 1st grade words (sight words). I use phoneme segmentation, grapheme mapping, and sound comparison to help the student become a more proficient reader! These words have mainly 1-syllable, but a few 2-syllable words can be frequent in 1st grade as well. Some of the sight words we will be reviewing in this class include, but are not limited to: the, and, was, you, what, her, him, from, now, into, see, about, big, some, then, be, people, children, got, saw, etc. No materials are needed.
