1:1 튜터링

This one on one tutoring will be covering foundational reading skills, and will meet your child where they are at. It is designed for students Pre-K through First Grade. Because it will be just me and your child, I can tailor instruction to meet your child's individual needs. Depending on your child's needs, instruction may cover letter sounds, blending words, sight words, and putting words into sentences. I will use fun and engaging research based resources for instruction. This can vary from hand motions, videos, songs, visuals, and mnemonic devices. Next, we will apply skills into real reading so students can make connections. Last, we will end with an interactive digital game - which tends to be the students favorite part. I will do a quick check to monitor progress after each session so we can see your child's growth. This way, you can see for yourself how impactful one on one tutoring can be. This also allows your child's individual needs to drive the instruction. For example, if your child is working towards blending words and is making significant progress, we can start working on sight words and simple sentences. If your child is reading simple sentences, and is ready for more, we will start practicing more advanced phonics skills so they can expand their reading skills. I will meet your child where they are at, and guide them along their reading journey.
