In this one-on-one session, students will get to pick which pet they would like to talk about. Depending on how much time we have in class, they can choose more than one. I served as an Instructional Assistant from 2015 to 2020, holding a paraprofessional certification to work with and teach children. My experience extends to pet care, including cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, and fish, among others. Additionally, I have been a youth counselor at my church, where I also led Bible study sessions.
I have experience working with Neurodiverse families and make an effort to minimize distractions in my class, (besides the occasional noise of a dog barking and birds chirping) such as using captions when requested and presenting slides.
