Out of courtesy, we could extend our session to fulfill all urgent requests you have, such as any major written assignments you have, whether essays, projects or final papers, within the same week. The bonus time past the original time frame will be free of cost to you. Beyond that, such as needing 2-5 sessions to finish everything we need to do, please schedule them, and we will still offer you bonus, free time to maximize our effectiveness and time. As a result, we will produce quality work and performance.


- Important Logistical Notes Before Our First Meeting -

1. Please schedule 1+ days in advance because sometimes the system blocks same day or 1 day scheduling.

If you message me about a private meeting at a specific time slot, I would be glad to work with you although you have to understand it may not work, and the more time you give us, the better.

2. Please send me all your online files or photos of physical files through Outschool "Conversations" messages. Preferably 1+ days in advance to prevent technical difficulties. 

More importantly, 1+ days allow me to review your material and either ask questions if needed, or give you a full refund to save you time, meaning I won't be able to help.

Make sure all files and photos are clear and zoomed in because there is no feature to zoom in later, which means you will have to retake them if the video screen share shows them either too small or blurry.

3. If you must reschedule, please do it 2+ days in advance because the more last minute you wait, the more we may not be able to reschedule due to system blocks.

When that's the case, please understand I'm trying to help you, and if you cannot get a refund because it's outside the Outschool 48-hour window policy, you would have to contact support because it's beyond my ability to assist at that point.

4. According to Outschool Policy, if the student arrives late to the meeting by 10 minutes, the instructor may leave and you will be stuck with a paid session without a refund.

In my case, I am willing to wait up to 20 minutes before leaving, so please make sure you are not too late because that's the best I could do for you. In addition, the session will still end on time, without any makeup time regardless of how much time we lost due to any reason, so please understand the session could have rightfully been cancelled on my end although out of courtesy to you, we will make the best of the shorter time.

5. If the student has a medical or lawful reason for wanting the camera off the whole lesson, please let me know in advance. Normally, it might be better for you to find another educator, although if your case is special, I am willing to work with you. Ideally, you would be comfortable with turning on your camera the whole time, so that our experience and interaction would be more effective and engaging. Knowing our surroundings and environment would improve your learning and progress.



- General Themes of Course - 


Writing - we will complete or edit any writing assignments or essays you have from your school. We may also create our own writing piece outside of your school, such that you gain additional practice with a flexible topic and learning pace. Because reading and writing go hand in hand, we will also develop your reading and analysis skills while we practice advanced, writing concepts.

Reading - we will complete and edit any reading assignments you may have from school, while also developing your reading comprehension and literary analysis through your assigned books and readings. We may also choose any form of reading that is within your age range, such that you have the flexibility and freedom to increase your passion and skills for reading.


1. What will be taught in our class?

Finding out main point or thesis, preparing ideas, organizing them, adding extra details for purpose and strength, writing those points step by step in a simple manner, learning correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, mechanics and syntax in the process, and making smooth transitions between paragraphs until our conclusion.

2. What topics will we cover?

We will start with a relevant life topic or reading that the whole class finds interesting and engaging. It can be any topic, therefore, adding flexibility and imagination.

3. How is my class structured?

We will go in order, but the class is flexible and we can always revisit material for clarity or reminder.

4. How will I teach and what's my teaching style?

My main goal is to make learning fun for you all, while making sure you gain the advanced, yet simple knowledge for future use. I will be patient with you all and take things step by step until you master writing the five paragraph essay. We will revisit any previous lessons or material if you need. My pace is based on all of your understanding, so none of you fall behind. Once everyone understand what was just taught, we will move forward on the more advanced matters.

5. How much will learners get to interact with me?

A lot. In our live class, you can always feel free to interrupt me with questions or concerns if you don't understand something, or if you need something else. We will make sure we are all on the same page, such that the entire class is engaged with me and each other.



- Some Specific Themes of Writing Section of Course -


1. Brainstorm ideas for an interesting book or article we read or a relevant everyday topic that engages us. Afterward, we learn to write a clear and organized outline.

Example topic - What pets make good companions and why? 
Example answer and thesis - Dogs make good companions for people because they serve personal yet functional purposes, including playing with their friends, acting as service dogs for the blind, and sniffing out their endangered humans in collapsed buildings.

2. Learn how to write our introduction paragraph before transitioning into our first body paragraph.

3. Learn how to write our 2nd and 3rd body paragraphs and complete our main points for the thesis.

4. Learn how to write our conclusion and edit our whole essay, such that our ideas flow together in strength and unison.

5. Brainstorm ideas for another interesting book we read or a relevant life topic that engages us.

6. Repeat steps above until students gain the mastery to writing a perfect essay and gathering important information from critical reading.



- Some Specific Themes of Reading Section of Course -


1. Pick a book or article of your interest. Afterward, we have you demonstrate your background reading skills. 

2. We learn to write a clear and organized outline based on the information we gathered.

3. Determine the tone of the writer and how it's important to understanding the entire passage.

4. Understand why the writer write the way he or she did, such that their ideas connect together in telling us the purpose and story. The way they structure their paragraphs and chapters also serve the purpose of pacing their story and writing according to our anticipation.

5. Read another book and article you may have from school that you don't like because it is generally readings we don't like that make us develop higher skills. We become unbiased, whereas material we like will make us biased.

6. Repeat steps from weeks above until students gain the mastery to reading with confidence and gather important literary devices from critical reading.
