This class is available for students who would like one-to-one sessions focusing on Music Composition, from creating their first melodies to writing for groups of instruments. This class will allow a learner-focused approach to exploring their interests in music, providing a supportive space for working on their own compositions and developing music theory and composition skills. I am a violinist who enjoys composing music, particularly for string quartets/ensembles. I have completed ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory and the AMusTCL Music Theory Diploma, each with a Distinction mark.

Some knowledge/experience of music, whether this is playing an instrument, singing, or having taken a music theory/appreciation class would be helpful.
Music notation paper/software (according to your preference). Optional - if you play an instrument, you might like to have it nearby so that you can play out your ideas.
