The goal of this class is for students to learn that they do not have to be overwhelmed when looking at word problems. They will learn that they can analyze a word problem, take it step-by-step and work toward solving it. The students will also learn that there are a variety of ways to solve a problem when it comes to addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.
I have 16 years of experience in the public school setting teaching math to elementary age students. It truly is my passion to show all learners that they do not have to be overwhelmed by math, by word problems, or by something that they think is difficult. I love teaching students that when they take things one step at a time and break it up into manageable pieces, that their task can be accomplished.
