Welcome to the 'Architecture Drawing'. In this 1:1 class, learners will create a sketch of a famous landmark from around the world.  Each lesson covers one landmark from start to finish.

The 1:1 setting is excellent for any learner that is wanting more individualized attention.  This class is also ideal for ESL learners, shy learners, or learners that may have unique learning challenges. I'm happy to accommodate to your learner's needs however I can.  My classroom is a relaxed, encouraging environment where your learner is welcome to ask questions and share their ideas.

You only need to bring a pencil, ruler and a piece of paper to class!  Your learner will be led through a step-by-step drawing while carefully observing a photograph of the landmark for reference.  We will concentrate on lines and shapes at first, and then add surrounding details.  Vanishing points are occasionally used, depending on the drawing selected (please see options below).  I incorporate a variety of drawing techniques to make the buildings and/or bridges look three-dimensional.  I guide your learner to 'think like an artist' throughout each drawing step.

I also offer tips for shading, although shading is optional and usually done after the class time.  Interesting facts and the architectural style of each landmark will be discussed.
