Does your learner need support in reading and writing? Do they struggle with deadlines and homework? Could they use some extra  help in English, Language Arts, or with overall organization?

I am a friendly and warm Certified Teacher in English, Social Science, and Special Education with 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I can help learners succeed in school by supporting them as they complete homework and projects, or prepare for tests. Here are some of the tutoring strategies I use:

Homework and Assignments:
- breaking down assignments into smaller, more manageable chunks
- rephrasing or elaborating on instructions
- offering feedback on homework and assignments

Organizational Skills:
- helping the learner plan out larger projects
- helping the learner use a calendar or agenda to manage their time
- teaching time management and productivity strategies (e.g. Pomodoro method)

Studying:
- teaching study strategies
- reviewing key ideas 

Skill Development:
- identifying reading and writing areas in need of improvement
- offering focused interventions in particular reading and writing areas (e.g. comprehension, paragraph coherence, etc.) 
- designing individualized reading and writing exercises 

For maximum results, I suggest booking a minimum of two one-time sessions.
