This is a personalized tutoring class for learners in first, second, third, and fourth grade. Learners will focus on specific math skills chosen by the parent. 

Each class will be personalized to meet the needs of the learner. I will make short lessons for your learner about a specific topic that is chosen by the parent and teacher. I will create a slideshow presentation to help guide our lessons. Each lesson will include an ice breaker question, warm up, skill practice, and a fun review game. I use a variety of teaching strategies in my classroom based on the needs of the learner. If your child needs help with homework, I can also help with that. Please provide me with a copy of the homework so I can prepare our lesson ahead of time. 

Some math skills we can work on in class: addition, subtraction, fact fluency, word problems, even/odd numbers, place value, measurement, telling time, money, graphs, 2D shapes, 3D shapes, fractions, multiplication, division, etc.

It is helpful for your learner to bring paper and pencil or a whiteboard to class. 

Before class, please contact me and share information about your learner. Please include the following information: current grade, areas he/she excels in, areas he/she needs more work. I would also like to know the topic that you would like your learner to focus on the first tutoring session with me. 

I will message the parent after our tutoring session as a follow up. I will write a short list of concepts covered in class, how your child did, and any questions/concerns I have. I will not assign homework, but you can use the list of concepts covered in class to review at home.
