Interested in traditional or modern Korean culture? Trying Korean dramas, music, food, or fashion? Are you studying Korean language? This space will be a great place to discuss and share aspects of Korean culture and language, as we study and learn. I'm a native Korean speaker who used to teach Korean highschool students in Korean language, math, and science for the Korean SAT. I received a perfect score in Korean language in the Korean SAT, and have experience working in a college press and a thesis correction team. I have experience teaching native Korean speakers and non-native speakers in Korean for 7 years for now. I'm sure that this is a perfect place to learn Korean culture and language in a fun way! As a moderator, I'm going to manage the culture part and language part evenly. For the culture part, I'm going to post interesting cultural things with pictures or videos at least once a week. This can include holidays, school life, traditional games, public transportation, traditional architecture in Korea. I can also ask questions to share opinions, such as "Who is your favorite K-pop singer?" or "What do you want to do in Korea?" Learners can freely share opinions about the topics. Except the big topic each week, I'm going to share lots of things related to Korean culture often. I love taking pictures and I have literally dozens of thousands of picture I took in Korea to share with my students-I just love talking pictures and sharing the pictures with my friends. I'd love to listen to learners' opinions about my posts and other learners' posts, and share lots of things together. Let's share interesting things about Korea! For the language part, I'm basically going to write most of the posts in Korean and English both, so the learners who are studying Korean can study and practice with me, and the learners who don't understand complicated sentences are not left excluded. I'm going to post a big topic to talk about Korean language such as names of animals, polite expressions, respiration when we're speaking in Korean, or give some missions such as "Let's share what we did yesterday," or "Who's your best friend?" at least once a week, but I'm going to have fun talking to students in Korean almost everyday. I'm going to correct the learners' Korean when they want me to correct them. I believe in that talking to friends is the most natural way to study languages. I could make my English this level in 3 years from no background with this method! Come join the conversation, it's going to be fun and you're going to speak in Korean very naturally one day. Any questions are welcome in this group. You can see on my expertise, that I'm not just one normal native speaker. I'm sure that I can answer you most of the questions, so please feel free to ask me questions :)
