Happy Holidays! In this one-time course, students will enjoy creating their own snow globe decoration for the holidays using simple materials. Students will briefly learn about the physics of water and how the movement of the water in the snow globe can be visually demonstrated in the "snow" effect inside, after which we will discuss some fun facts and trivia about snow globes. Students will briefly learn about the physics of water and how the movement of the water in the snow globe can be visually demonstrated in the "snow" effect inside, after which we will discuss some fun facts and trivia about snow globes.
Students will need to bring the following materials to class: empty glass mason jar or empty plastic craft snow globe *not the photo insert type* (available at most craft and dollar stores), small toys or holiday village figurines (also available at most craft or dollar stores), hot glue gun with glue sticks, confetti for snow effect, water to fill completed snow globe.
