このクラスで学べること
In this on going class, students will learn the meaning of AI (artificial intelligence) and be given prompts using language arts skills to help create a fun and imaginative coloring page. Language arts prompts will include nouns, prepositions, adjectives, verbs and more. Students will work as a team and combine their thoughts together to generate a unique AI coloring page that we will color in class. For example, students may come up with "a panda in space eating popcorn", or "three dogs eating a banana under a bridge ". The teacher will use their special "AI Thinker 3,000" to generate the coloring page. Students will color the AI generated coloring page and share with with the class. Each week will be different as students will brainstorm their next AI creation! The theme for the first class will already be chosen by the teacher. Students will discuss the theme for the next AI coloring page that will be used in the second class. The themes made in one class will become the AI coloring page for the next class, and so on. As an added language bonus, we will learn a new "Tech Term of the Week". These are typically Greek or Latin root words that relate to STEM ideas. Learning the root word will help students begin to understand technology concepts. For example, students may not know what "astronomy" means, but when they learn the root word of "astro", they will understand that astronomy has something to do with stars. *** Please note, this is not a drawing class. This is a coloring club for students to conceptualize an idea, then color an AI generated coloring page during class. Students will have time at the end of class to share their coloring page with everyone. 学習到達目標
Students will unleash their most imaginative thoughts to create a unique AI generated coloring page that we will then color during class. Students will practice language arts skills during their brainstorming time. Lastly, students will engage in social skills by talking about and sharing their coloring page with the other students. During coloring time, the teacher will guide them in casual conversation about their interests, daily lives, and student-led topics of interest.

From Miss Ashley: I have always loved to work with young children! Ever since I was a kid, I was very creative in coming up with unique ways of expressing myself. That uniqueness carried over into my adult life, and that is what brings me here today! I love being a part of a child’s yearn to learn and I believe that learning is always fun. I’m a mom to two amazing kiddos, both currently in elementary school. Before having my kids, I had 7 years experience in working with children primary-aged through elementary school. I was an assistant Pre-K teacher followed by working at various summer camps through my local Parks & Recreation department. I’ve worn many hats throughout life but my favorite one is being a mom. I love my wonderful husband, my amazing kiddos, my 3 crazy cats, sewing and gardening.
