This ongoing class is a super fun and laidback way for 3rd-6th grade students to sharpen their vocabulary and spelling skills. They won't even realize they are learning as they play and interact with other learners! Each week students will be given a list of grade-aligned vocabulary words to look over. I have been very fortunate to work with many students over the past 10 years on their reading fluency and comprehension, including my own children. As a public school teacher, I LOVED making vocabulary and spelling practice fun for students by using games and contests. I have seen firsthand what a difference it makes for students to enjoy learning!
All learners are welcome in my classroom!
Students must be able to operate a computer mouse independently.
All materials for this class will be provided to the students.

We will be using a third-party tool called Lumio Smart Suite for our lessons. I will be sharing a link to the lesson so that the students and I can go through the material together. All activities on Lumio may only be accessed during our live class as the link becomes inactive when I end the lesson. Students will not need an account of any kind to view our content on Lumio. They will be asked to enter their first name so that I can track all work and provide feedback to students during the lesson. No other information is requested or required.
