Students will learn to decode word problems for key details and necessary information for solving problems. Students will use highlighting and crossing out in this method to assist with helping to identify key words and important information. 

I am a 5th grade math teacher, and have taught math review on Outschool since January of 2019. I have worked with various students from various backgrounds to help them master mathematics for over 10 years as a teacher, including private tutoring. I am very familiar with digital learning and how to work with students online. I also integrate review for students to practice to show me how they are progressing. I stay on after the session ends if students need a bit more review.

Students may finish any problem not covered in the class set, and will be provided 10 practice problems each week to reinforce skills covered each week (answer key included).

Students will submit answers to teacher via chat during class to demonstrate mastery. Students may also participate and solve problems on screen verbally.

We will use practice material that is created by the teacher, along with individual practice from math-aids.com
