Have you ever experienced a situation where your child reads a story or passage from start to finish, but is unable to explain what they just read? Does your child struggle to understand the meaning of words within a story, affecting their overall understanding of the text? Research consistently shows that there is a direct correlation between deficits in vocabulary acquisition and low reading comprehension scores. Simply put, Stronger Vocabulary Knowledge = Stronger Comprehension Skills....
Students will improve their reading comprehension and test taking skills by mastering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade academic vocabulary terms. Students will become confident in their ability to read and understand grade-level words though interactive games.

Students may continue to practice the week's vocabulary words through the Kahoot application code given at the end of each class. An optional homework assignment will be posted to the classroom at the end of each class. Students may complete this and send it back to me to be checked if they so choose.評価が提供されます
I will utilize informal formative assessments based on teacher observation, student participation, and class discussion. These observations will guide me in adjusting the lesson as necessary in order to meet my students' needs. There are no formal assessments for this class.成績が提供されます
