This ongoing class provides learners with the chance to turn their video game passion into a writing, producing, and public speaking opportunity! Learners will select a game to review during an upcoming session, work on their review on their own time, and then present the review in a future class session. Learners will participate in both presenting information and being a good audience. They will practice reporting factual information, as well as stating their opinion, and using solid reasoning to support their viewpoint. Learners will not only share information about their favorite games, but also learn about new games from others. They will participate in active and polite debate, as well as critical thinking about various game aspects, such as mechanics, genre, and overall experience for each title.
A long-time gamer, this teacher has been playing since the Commodore 64. I love playing and can't wait to learn more about games from student reviews!
