Welcome to Lisbon, Portugal's capital and one of the oldest cities in the world, even older than Rome! In this class we will learn about the geography and history of Lisbon and find out why this city is so cool. Lisbon is home to one of the most expensive cathedrals in the world, home to fortresses, baroque architecture, and 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will discover the delicious Pastel de Nata's while listening to Fado music. Take a day trip to the romantic and breathtaking town of Sintra and it's magical palace. Lisbon is truly one of The Coolest Cities in the World. Are you a world traveler or dream of being one? Are you a geography buff? Are you interested in architecture and learning about cool new cities and cultures? Have you been to this cool city before? This class is for you! *Don't see a time that works for you? Feel free to message me with your preferred dates/times and I will happily try to accommodate. My classes are inclusive to all Learners (including neurodiverse and ESL and LGBTQ+ Learners) and allow Learners to ask questions, cultivate discussions, and share experiences with each other to learn together and of course, have fun!! Sources used to create this class include, but not limited to, my own first-hand personal travel experiences and photos and videos from my travels. As well as research from my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture. Other sources include Lonely Planet & Fodor's Travel Guides, YouTube videos (credited in class). Multiple travel bloggers/vloggers (credited in class), World maps, Wikipedia, and research from multiple travel documentaries.
