手を使って話そう: 初心者向け ASL 2 (11 ～ 16 歳)

This is a continuation of the course Talk With Your Hands: Intro To ASL. Learners must have previously taken an introductory ASL course before enrolling in this class. This course helps to build upon the foundation your child has with American Sign Language. Learners will interact both with me, the instructor, as well as their fellow classmates. 

Below are some of the topics this course will cover:

Week 1:
- Places: home, house, store, school, work, restaurant, hospital, church, city
- People: parents, teacher, firefighter, police officer, doctor, nurse, friend, interpreter

Week 2:
- Days of week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 
- Time: Today, now, yesterday, tomorrow, day, week, weekend, next week, last week, year, next year, last year, past, future

Week 3:
- Actions: come, go, think (2 ways), swim, sit, stand, walk, run, jump, dance, stop, sleep, work, study, use

Week 4:
- Size: Small, medium, big. 
- Furniture: chair, table, couch, lamp, bed, shelf, 
- Household: kitchen, bathroom, room, office, bedroom, living room

Week 5:
- Review signs learned in weeks 1-4

This course is taught by modeling from the instructor at first, and then students work to better understand newly learned signs by practicing with their fellow classmates. Students will continue to deepen their knowledge through games and repetition.
