Welcome to the next step in your cello playing. This class is perfect for cellists who have completed Suzuki Book 1 or have at least a year of playing experience! In this class, we will build playing fundamentals and musicianship and delve deeper into the Suzuki Method. Each week, we'll explore a different song in the Suzuki Book 2 repertoire. Even if you have already learned the song of the week, review and practice is important as you continue building repertoire and enjoy playing music with others. Group classes are an essential component of Suzuki instruction and can supplement private lessons or stand alone. In these classes, young musicians have the opportunity to play together and learn from one another, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community. Learners will also receive individualized feedback from the instructor in a group setting, allowing them to refine their technique and develop their musicality. Playing music together is a rewarding experience that enhances one's musical abilities and provides a sense of accomplishment. In this class, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers and perform for the group. These experiences will help students develop their stage presence and confidence, all while receiving supportive feedback and encouragement from their teacher. Here's what we'll cover each week: Week 1 / Week of June 5 - Long, Long Ago (T.H. Bayly) Week 2/ Week of June 12 - May Time, Komm Lieber Mai (W.A. Mozart) Week 3 / Week of June 19 - Minuet No. 1 (J.S. Bach) Week 4/ Week of June 26 - Minuet No. 3 (J.S. Bach) Week 5/ Week of July 3 - Chorus from "Judas Maccabaeus" (G.F.
