This class takes 2x per week for 5 weeks. Welcome to my Summer Bridge Math Program designed specifically for students who will be entering 3rd grade! This program has been created to help students review and reinforce essential math skills, ensuring they are prepared for the upcoming school year. During the month of July, students will engage in a fun, interactive, and engaging learning experience, helping them build their confidence in math while also having a blast. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and effective, setting students up for success both academically and in their personal lives. I can't wait to get started! I love to make classes engaging with strategies, games, competitions, and more to check for understanding. Students will participate in discussions and work on problems both together and independently. 1st Class: Entrance into the Carnival and Tickets for the Games (Solve word problems involving length, time, money, and data (2.MD.A.1) 2nd Class: Purchasing Souvenirs and Snacks at the Carnival Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of money amounts using the dollar and cent symbols (3.MD.A.2) 3rd Class: Getting ready for lunch at the Carnival. Ordering from the Menu Calculate the value of a collection of coins up to $1.00 (3.MD.A.2)
