数学トーク: 暗算をマスターする

This interactive math class is all about building strategies and sharing our thinking to solve problems using our mental math. Each week focuses on a different math strategy to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. Math problems are strategically chosen to focus on building a specific strategy each session. This class will focus on sharing math in a safe space with an emphasis on making sense of numbers. We draw out our thinking to allow students to "see" the math and make connections to their own math thinking. Studies show memorization and drills don't work for all students. When learners understand numbers...they are able to "attack" problems in a way that makes sense to them. Learners will build knowledge, make mistakes and feel great!

***Each session focuses on developing a specific computation strategy. Strategies do not build on the previous week.***
***Although the following focus strategies will cycle every six weeks, each session is unique with new content. Learners are welcome to join a new lesson every week.***
