In this group class, there will be 3 sight words per week that your child will learn. After a brief introduction to the words, your child will be reading sentences. This will increase meaning of the sight words and build fluency. The parts of fluency that will be taught includes the following: accuracy (reading with few errors), speed (the rate at which a student reads) and prosody (using correct tone and expression). 

If your child has a basic knowledge of sight words then this class would be a great fit! If your child is struggling with sight words then this class may be too advanced. The goal of this class is to grow in reading sight words fluently in sentences. 

These words are chosen from the Dolch sight word list. Each week a noun Dolch sight word is included with two other sight words. Your child will be exposed to at least 90 sight words after taking this class!!

This class is highly engaging as students will participate in reading sentences out loud while also having a chance to play games! Every child will participate while in a fun, positive learning environment.
