Students will improve the following skills which are necessary to achieve success in Grade 3:
* Improve Oral Reading Fluency by completing a one minute read at each meeting
* Build upon and review phonics skills learned in 2nd grade (these may include syllable types, r controlled vowels, vowel teams, and others)
* Identify the Main Idea of a text
* Identify the theme or central message of a text
* Sequence Events
* Identify Author's Purpose
* Identify Point of View
* Improve Grammar and Writing skills

I am a current 3rd Grade ELA teacher. I teach students with disabilities as well as struggling students. My students always show consistent growth to achieve their individual goals. I am trained in Wilson Reading, an intervention curriculum designed for learners with dyslexia, as well as The Writing Revolution.
