In this class, your student will receive one on one support with their reading fluency. Students will learn strategies that can help them become stronger, more fluent readers! This class is taught by a certified Reading Specialist!

While this class is designed to be a one - time class, multiple classes can be scheduled. If you chose to schedule more classes, I can differentiate the material to your scholar's needs! As an educator, I believe one size does not fit all. Each class will cater to the learner and focus on their glows and grows.

This class will explore four major parts of fluency: 
- Accuracy: reading the words correctly
- Rate: the time it takes to read a passage
- Expression: reading with feeling
- Comprehension: understanding what was read; answering questions or retelling important parts of the story. 

As students read, they will be given support in areas such as phonics, word recognition, and phrasing. Each class is unique the learner and their growth! As an educator, I believe that one size does not fit all. This class caters to every scholar and their needs. 

Class Schedule (can be changed based on scholar's needs):
-5 minutes of sight word practice
-15 minutes of intense fluency practice
-10 minutes of Epic! (online young reader texts) for student to demonstrate skills and strategies learned during class

I will provide the passages that students will be reading using Reading A - Z. During the class, I can adjust the passages based on the student's needs. At the end of the class, students will have a chance to choose a book through Epic! where they can demonstrate the skills and strategies they learned by reading books they would read at home and in school!

This class will also visit grade level sight words.
