In this ongoing course, I will be working one-on-one with your learner to provide English curriculum and assistance to suit their own individual needs as an English language learner. I am a certified teacher in Canada with over 6 years experience from Kindergarten Grade 12.

Each learner has different strengths and needs and I will be adapting all lessons accordingly. We will begin by assessing your learner on the first class in regards to communication, listening, reading and writing. Moving forward, I will create a curriculum suitable for your learner in English for all 4 areas of language acquisition (speaking, listening, reading, writing) including vocabulary and grammar. 

*** As this is a tutoring class for beginners, we will be following a curriculum of English as a Second Language, as outlined in the following themes:
Curriculum may vary depending on the learners acquisition throughout the lessons. This is not a rigid schedule. If the learner needs more time on a topic or area of skill, we will direct our class accordingly. 
*** The lessons are ONLY for learners who have never had exposure to English before. If your learner has some knowledge of English, we will be doing lessons suitable to their level. 
Topics include:
Greetings, introducing oneself
Letters (ABC's) 
Numbers 1-10
Colours
Calendar (days of the week, months of the year)
Seasons
Family
Animals

Throughout the lessons, we will be learning through slide-shows, songs, reading materials, and activities. I will be providing some additional handouts to learners to complete outside of class time. My goal for learners is to engage in communication as much as they are comfortable with. That being said, an active participation in the lesson is always encouraged!
