This is a 25 minute private tutoring session designed to allow learners conversational practice with a native English speaker. I can personalize this time for your learner. If there is a specific need or interest you would like practice discussing, please let me know prior to class so I have some time to prepare. If nothing is specified, the possible topics of discussion would range from a wide variety of things like learner hobbies, family, pets, school, favorite foods, favorite activities, and daily life. The goal is to give the learner as much opportunity as possible for student output, help the learner feel more confident in speaking, and correct errors in grammar and pronunciation where necessary. I will ask open ended questions giving the learner plenty of time to respond, and model correct conversational sentence patterns, introducing new vocabulary where applicable. Your learner will be encouraged to ask me questions, as well. Enjoyable interaction and full student output are expected for this one-on-one session. Learners may bring any props to class that pertain to our topics of discussion, or will help the learner talk about themselves more easily. Feel free to sign up for multiple sessions to help your learner build rapport and comfort having conversation with me.
