By learning phonics, your children will become experts at blending, segmenting, decoding, and spelling in order to read and write phonetically decodable words! I am a firm believer in a patient and fun learning environment. My classroom is structured around interactive slides, songs, and games! Students will also be earning gems for the treasure chest once we successfully complete tasks :) In this interactive lesson on the letter Aa, we will first focus on vocabulary our new vocabulary words will include: - apple -alligator -ax -ant We will then practice our listening skills. I will say a word, and the student will find and circle the object on the interactive slide! There will be prizes once completed :) Next, students will learn how to write the letter Aa. I will show them, that we will practice together, and then they will practice independently. We will also practice our vocabulary words by finding them throughout the remainder of the lesson. This will help students help with their spelling and reading comprehension

When students develop phonemic awareness, it greatly enhances their reading fluency which is a reading superpower! This enables students to read with speed, accuracy, and expression.
