In this one time class learners will paint poppies inspired by the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. Painting will be demonstrated step by step and learners will paint along with the teacher. Creativity and personalization will be encouraged. This is an abstract painting class and material choices will be flexible to reflect the individual painters style and preferences. Social interaction will be encouraged as learners discuss their choice of colors and how their choice of demonstrated techniques...
Learners will need the following supplies: Paint surface: art paper, canvas or canvas board. ( approx 9× 12 or smaller) Paintbrush Water cup Plate or pallette for mixing paint Acrylic or tempera paints
Please be advised that paints can stain clothing and work area. Care should be taken to cover and protect them. Please use Non toxic paints.
